Clover Aviation Capital has delivered an A320NEO aircraft to new customer Cebu Pacific today at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Tianjin, China. The delivery is part of a multi-aircraft sale and leaseback transaction between Clover and Cebu Pacific, and marks the first Airbus aircraft to be delivered to Cebu Pacific from the manufacturer’s facility in Tianjin. The A320NEO aircraft delivered is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G series engines.

Present at the Airbus China facility was Cebu Pacific Chief Executive Officer Michael Szücs: “On behalf of our Cebu Pacific Group, we’d like to thank our partners Airbus and our new lessor partner Clover Aviation Capital for enabling today’s event. The A320/321NEO family is our workhorse. This aircraft type burns from 15 to 20 percent less fuel compared to the previous generation aircraft, and it is a key pillar in our efforts to reduce emissions. We are also pleased to highlight that this delivery flight will be powered with a record blend of 41% SAF. In today’s world of climate change, we try our utmost to pioneer efforts to reduce our carbon emissions, while continuing to contribute to the communities we serve.”

Also speaking at the delivery ceremony, Joe Ye Tian, President and Chief Executive Officer of Clover Aviation Capital, remarked: “We are most delighted to have delivered our first A320NEO to Cebu Pacific, and believe this marks the beginning of a long and successful relationship between our two companies. The cutting-edge aircraft we have placed with our friends at Cebu Pacific today will form a dependable part of their growing fleet for the foreseeable future. This occasion is made even more notable by being our lessee’s first aircraft delivery from the Airbus FAL facility in Tianjin, China.”
